Contest 1: Get Moving -- End of Week Two

See this post for contest details. It is not too late to join!

I cannot believe that half the month is over already. It has been a good reminder of how quickly time flies and if we do not make the choice to do something good for ourselves today, we are likely to find ourselves weeks down the road having not made the improvements we intended. Good for us for choosing to get moving!

How did you do this week? Did you complete your three exercise sessions?

Our seasons are about to change. What exercise do you look forward to adding to your routine when the weather changes? Is there something you have always wanted to do but due to lack of skill, training, equipment or time you have not had the opportunity? Tell us what you sort of exercise you would want to do if there were no obstacles.

 * * *

I knew I had to get my exercise days in early because I was leaving for vacation at the end of of the week. Due to time constraints, like working late, preparing for vacation and the nightmare that is packing, I kept my workouts simple and the shortest duration. For me, that is The 30 Day Shred, the most difficult twenty five minutes I love to hate.

  • Monday: 30 Day Shred
  • Tuesday: 30 Day Shred
  • Wednesday: 30 Day Shred

If I could do anything, I would be a marathoner (just need to set my mind to it) and a surfer (that whole land locked thing has made this difficult. That, and that whole drowny thing I have going on.) Now tell me yours...

Monday-Friday: walked 45 minutes at lunch. It was a great week. I don't know if this week will be as good, but at least 3 days...

I'm really looking forward to kayaking again this summer. We are trying to decide if it would be crazy to start this coming weekend, since the temperature will be near 60 but there might be some ice left.

If I could do anything, it would be triathlons. I know I could do the swimming easily, and the biking a little less easily, but the running is just daunting!!

Mon- 1hr laps
Tues-scooped rock 2 X 30min each
Wed- 45 min laps and 30min scooping rock
Thurs the rock had done me in-used muscles didn't know existed!
Fri - 1hr laps

If I had my knee back, I would probably RUN. I literally dream of running. Walking has to do, sometimes that's a challenge.

Due to a set of very recalcitrant grumbly knees I have not really managed anything more than my daily 2x25 minute walks to work and back. Back on the wagon next week, I guess.

Been exercising 5x a week. Some days are treadmill, some bike, some elliptical, some tai chi, some Zumba. Not enjoying it, but I'm sticking with it.

If I could do anything? I would ski and ice skate. I am WORTHLESS at both. Between my knees, my ankles, and my hopeless lack of balance, I hurt myself whenever I do either. Plus... I live in the desert. :)

That being said, I'm sitting here reading about exercise while eating a hamburger. What does that say about me/? :) hehe
