Contest 1: Get Moving -- End of Week Three

See this post for contest details. It is not too late to join!

I was on holiday in the UK and am unsure whether to count this week as a success or not. We spent a lot of time walking, climbing stairs, touring local historical sites and the like but... we also spent some time eating wonderful, not-so-good-for-us food. Cream tea, proper English chips, sticky toffee pudding, and vanilla custard now rank rather high on my favorite foods list. Ah well, things that are good for the soul are sometimes just as important as those good for the body. Or so I try to convince myself. I will get back on the more formal exercise wagon this week.

How are you doing? Did you meet your three-time exercise goal this week? Is the practice of adding exercise to your routine becoming easier or more tedious? Are you seeing any improvements in your mood, energy levels, or sleep habits? Do your favorite clothes fit a little better? I hope you are all seeing something positive from this and can share to keep us all inspired.

On to Week Four and a strong finish!

Only 3 days this week - walking, and then 2 days of raking and other hideous yardwork. I do feel better when I'm done and I'm sleeping better, but no less-tight clothes yet. I'll keep going though.

Welcome back!

Drew completed both week 2 & 3 - weight lifted, speed training, and some indoor football. 5 x per week.

Natalee completed both week 2 & 3 - volleyball, rode bike, weight lifted, ran, walked 5 x per week.

I didn't meet the goal either week. Have been sick. Going to try to get back to it this week.

3 X 30 minute walks at lunchtime, and enough manual labor on Saturday to leave me stiff and sore in my shoulders and back two days later. Actually, I think Saturdays work could carry me through the rest of the week ;-)

Getting the Wii Fit Plus this week to add to my exercise regimen...

I'm glad you had a nice vacation. You so deserved it. Where is the photo of you hugging Cary Grant?

It wouldn't be a vacation without tasting the best the place has to offer in the way of food!

Mon- 1hr walk
Tues- 45 min walking laps
Wed- 2) 3hr sessions of yard work (heavy raking, moving limbs, pulling wagons...)
Thurs & Fri - RECOUPING

Not addicted yet. Mood crappy, I mean crabby. Waking at 2:00 a.m. repeatedly.Insatiable appetite. BUT...it takes 30 days to make a habit and 30 days to break a habit, so ever closer to the eleventh hour!

I am so useless. I have spent most of this month with my bum firmly glued to this chair. *SIGH*

And OH... English chips. My family is English, I was born in England... I'm ALL ABOUT the chips. MMMMM. Did you have any with mushy peas?
