Contest 1: Get Moving -- Final Week
See this post for contest details. Please comment by end of day Tuesday, so I can announce the winner later this week. Thank you to all who participated and Good Luck!
I am not going to lie, this was a rough week for me. It took me at least two or three nights to finally feel well-rested after vacation (well-rested being a relative term) so I just did not have the energy to do much the first half of the week. I did get a couple of sessions in before the end of the weekend but I still was not feeling on top of my game. I am hoping now with the vacation behind me and the additional hours of sunlight in the evening, I can really get back into the swing of things this week.
So how have you done? Did you get your three exercise sessions in? Leave a comment and tell us how you did and what you felt was the most positive part of the experience for you. Have you committed to keeping exercise part of your normal routine?
For me, the stress relief I continued to find when I exercised regularly was the best part of the month and the best motivation to keep going. I am excited to get back into a regular five-time a week schedule like last year.
Don't forget to comment and best of luck to all participants. Thank you for being part of this with me!

Good morning. Three days of walking this week. Ending this contest with more of a whimper than the roar with which I started. Thanks for having this contest. It got me moving.
RoUgH week here too! Barely squeezed 3-15 min sesssions!! Benefits showing though- takes longer to get heart rate up and feeling a little winded!! Hope to really get serious and make exercise the TOP of my list rather than squeezing it in. Know I will feel better and look better and thus BE better!
Actually felt like I had the energy and strength to exercise toward the end of this week Yay! I walked 30 min. Thurs and Fri. Walked 1 hr. on Sunday. Saturday's shopping trip should count as exercise with all the walking, standing, and carrying bags around.
Drew exercised 5 days last week - speed training and weights.
Natalee exercised at least 7 times - PE 5 days and walked or rode bike at least twice (probably more like 4 or 5 times but didn't write it down.)
Nicer weather was the motivator for me. The warning from Steve's doctor didn't hurt either. He told us that the choices we make now in our 40's determines how we will feel/look in our 60's. We can either be a 60 yr. old that looks and acts like a 40 year old or a 60 year old that could pass for an 80 year old. He said the time is now to determine what happens to us.
3 X 30 minute walks at lunchtime, 2X 30 minute Wii Fit sessions, and manually set 15 t-posts in very hard ground resulting in an amazing shoulder workout!
Played once 40 minutes session of squash, did my usual 2x25 minutes of walking a day and cycled to the pub and back (not sure that last one counts, although it was 2x20 minutes).
Nope... still sitting on my bum! April is going to be a better month for me. I insist upon it! :) Kudos to everyone that has made the effort!
